C.B. Perkins Inc. – Luthiers

Luthier: Stringed instrument maker. One who makes and repairs stringed instruments such as guitars. C.B. Perkins has been a family-owned business since 1923. We pride ourselves on our workmanship and great customer service. The purpose of this blog is to show off the new products we get in, provide documentation of our repairs and restorations, and to keep you up to date on other events of interest at our shop. Antonio Loriente Classical Guitars

We just got these Antonio Loriente Spanish-made classical guitars in, and they are impressive. For the price, the sound is incredible. These guitars retail for between $1500 and $2800 (including a deluxe HumiCase). These sound better than some guitars we've seen for twice that. Clarita
The Clarita has a solid Spruce top and solid Rosewood back and sides.

Angela

The Angela has a Spruce top and Maple back and sides. The finish is a French Polish. It. Is. Gorgeous! The maple is really stunning, and the french polish gives the guitar such a great look, and sound.

Marieta

We found the Marieta extra impressive. It has a large Spanish sound, with good bass response and clear trebles. We have had a lot of classical guitars come through our shop, and this is one of the most impressive we've seen in a while. This one has a solid Cedar top with Rosewood back and sides, and a French Polish finish on the top.
