C.B. Perkins Inc. – Luthiers

Luthier: Stringed instrument maker. One who makes and repairs stringed instruments such as guitars. C.B. Perkins has been a family-owned business since 1923. We pride ourselves on our workmanship and great customer service. The purpose of this blog is to show off the new products we get in, provide documentation of our repairs and restorations, and to keep you up to date on other events of interest at our shop. Guitar of the Week - Jackson USA Soloist 1TF

Yikes, this week is almost over, and we haven't posted our guitar yet!
This week's guitar is another Jackson USA. This one has a gorgeous bookmatched flame maple top that is just plain yummy. The natural finish on this really shows off the wood.
The thing that we were most impressed with on this guitar (other than the finish, of course) is that it's perfectly balanced. This means that when you hold the guitar where the neck meets the body, it isn't neck heavy or body heavy, but feels balanced.
The neck is very fast and comfortable, making this a guitar that is a lot of fun to play.
