The Godin 5th Avenue Wins Over a Vintage Purist
We are excited to offer the new Godin 5th Avenue guitar. The 5th Avenue is an archtop guitar, made of Godin's signature 3 layer Wild Cherry laminate. Like all of Godin's guitars, the 5th avenue is made in Canada.
The sound was enough to impress Josh, a famously tweaky vintage guitar purist. He is considering selling his '56 Gibson ES125 and using this guitar.
From Godin:
The Godin 5th Avenue brings you back to a time when the archtop acoustic guitar reigned supreme. With the soul of a 1950’s archtop, the 5th Avenue is a true vintage spirit of yesterday with today’s level of modern playability. With more projection & volume in the low/mids than traditional archtop acoustic guitars, the dynamically rich tone of the 5th Avenue makes this sophisticated instrument a dream to play, but not a nightmare to pay for. The Godin 5th Avenue now makes the affordable North American archtop guitar a reality! How affordable, you ask? The 5th Avenue retails for $625, and we are selling it for just $515 including a gig bag.
We can also announce that towards the end of this year, Godin will be releasing a version of the 5th Avenue with a single P90.
...but you don't have to wait until then. We are offering a Godin 5th Avenue with a single Lollar hand-wound P-90 by Jason Lollar.
We can offer these guitars for $795 with a gig bag. These guitars are available for custom order right now!
